My name is Jasmine, but everybody calls me Jazzy or Little Jazz. I was born on 15th of August, with 2320g and 47 cm. Since then I’ve been the joy of my family but I have been worrying them as well…
Before me and mummy were discharged from the hospital, I was diagnosed with a heart murmur and I had to have regular checks to see how I was doing. Then when I saw my doctor at the hospital, he said I had a hole in the heart!… I had to spend the night in and the next day I was rushed to the Evelina Hospital in London, where I had lots of tests and finally I was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect. It turned out, that was the reason why I was not growing as I should… all the energy was being used by my broken heart! They started me on drugs and special milk and since then I have been putting on a little more weight in order to be stronger for my surgery.

Hi my name is Jo Ward and i work on PICU at the Evelina Childrens Hospital. Unfortunately i did not meet you all during your visit to us but Katy Mann passed on this website to me to look at. I am gathering together some information and photos for parents and was hoping to have a chat to you about this. If you could drop me an email at the above address i would be most grateful as this maybe the easiest way to communicate.
It is so fantastic seeing Jazzy doing so well and its always lovely to see children when they have gone home and are thriving.
Thanks,
Jo
